Everyone in the world has a unique fingerprint, no two finger prints are the same, therefore everyone has a unique identity. Biometrics is an advanced technology used for securing devices or applications.

The finger of the driver is placed on the fingerprint scanner mounted on the car's dash board in order to de-active the alarm and start the car's engine.

The fingerprint scanner compares the finger impression with the ones that are stored in its database memory (these are programmed in by the user). The car owner has the permission to add or delete fingerprints therefore allowing and disallowing people to drive the car.

If the finger impression matches with those stored in alarms memory then permission is granted and you can start the car. If the fingerprint does not match the car will not start as it cuts of fuel supply, i.e. any unauthorised person can drive the car.
