This dump valve relieves compressor pressure surge caused by changing gears or backing off the throttle quickly and is designed for the 1.8T turbo charged engines running high boost pressure, it also has a horn so the excess air will create that psssst sound. The valve is fully adjustable to suit the boost pressure you are running. This is a direct replacement for the oem recirculating valve in the VAG 1.8T engines such as the Audi A3 and Golf Mk4 GTI.
